Florida TE has two visits in mind

Matt Burke is a talented tight end prospect from Cardinal Newman High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Matt Burke is coming off a strong senior season, which helped lead to a US Army All-American Game invitation.

"We finished the year 9-2," Burke said. "We had a really disappointing loss in the playoffs but overall it was a good year. I had a lot of fun and definitely feel like I improved my game since last year."

Burke, 6-foot-6 and 215 pounds, talked about the latest with recruiting.

"San Diego State, Boise State, Duke, Boston College, UF, Purdue, Colorado, and FIU are some of the schools I'm still talking to," he said. "I don't have any favorites are one that really sticks out right now, but I do plan on visiting schools in January. I'm definitely going to visit Boise St and San Diego State."

The talented tight end prospect talked about what he'll be looking for when choosing a school.

"I want to go to a school where I can be a great student and athlete, academics mean a lot. Also, I want to be at a place where I can see myself living for the next 4-5 years."
